Amazing experience. Love the environment, the people. Great place to live. Very family friendly environment. Night life is excellent, so many places to enjoy a night out with friends and family. Good restaurants amazing food and drinks. Very affordable rentals. Colleges are amazing as well. So many different colleges to choose from.
Me and my husband ended up buying in New Britain 4 years ago. I’m originally from West Hartford, he’s originally from Burlington. We bought in New Britain because over all its cheeper to live here, you get more house for your money, it’s in the center of CT very close to high ways. I’m always surprised by how much this town/ mini city has to offer. It has a fantastic library ( including a HUGE kids section) the art museum that always seems to have something going on. Walnut hill park, and other amazing parks. A children’s museum, endless grocery stores and even some new restaurants. All and all I love it here some areas are a bit sketchy, but NB is such a large area that it doesn’t affect us. Also Mayor Stewart is great. We haven’t had a tax increase since we have lived here and this year she actually LOWERED them!!
New Britain is nice depending on the neighborhood! They have a lot of diversity and culture. If you get a chance, you should stop by little poland!
