Nesconset is a beautiful suburb town in Suffolk County. There is plenty of activities to do in the town. There is the Smithhaven Mall, beaches nearby, and plenty of other enjoyable entertainment places. Nesconset is a safe town for children all ages. I live on a road which consists of kids all ages always playing outside together. My neighbors are very friendly and always willing to help. I definitely recommend Nesconset. It may be a little expensive, but anywhere on Long Island is!

It's a great place for raising a family with really good schools that have these amazing oppurtnuties for the students. But, that being said having grown up there, there isn't a lot to do and I spent most of my time either at a friend's house, sitting in a parking lot listening to music and eating food or hanging out at a diner.
I love that there are several parks in my immediate area. There are also two dog parks that are great. The old armory was turned into a state of the art library and park that includes a hockey rink, skateboard park, tennis court, dog park, trails and a gazebo that hosts bands in the summer. It is an upper middle class working neighborhood with low crime. The taxes are a little high and the town services don't reflect them unfortunately. That is my only complaint. Smithtown is a great town and I would highly recommend it for a family to move here.
