Nelson Reviews

Nelson is a very small town- we do not even have any stores or stop lights etc. There are lots of dirt roads and snowmobile trails. The school is great here, goes until 5th grade, much in part because it is so small so all the kids get incredible attention. My sons class has 15 kids I believe and thats one of the bigger classes. The next grade up only has 8! Its a great community, yet very quite, most would help out anyone if asked. I would love to see more involvement with the children and sports. If we want to do anything like that, we have to go to other towns recreation departments and ask to sign up with their town. When my son did t-ball, the one we could sign up with, we had to drive over 40 minutes, 20 minutes passed another program that would not let our town sign up with them. Thats hard when youre working full time, it was about impossible to get out of work and pick them up then drive that far for the start time. Not to mention the long ride home late at night.

Strong sense of community. There is small elementary school in which much of the community supports through fundraising, benefit concerts and silent auctions. Beautiful landscape and open space.
