If you want a quiet neighborhood with a lot of walkers and people on golf carts, where everyone is involved (from the Garden Club to our neighborhood swim team to yearly traditions such as the Fourth of July water gun and balloon fight, pie eating contest and golf cart parade and other activities throughout the year mainly centered around the holidays) then this is the place for you.

We have our own police force, fire department and city government (mayor lives in the neighborhood as do the city council members). Crime for the most part is contained to the stores and apartments along NASA Parkway.

I grew up on Nassau Bay. After I graduated from college and married, I moved back. Our neighbors on both sides had also grown up in this smallest of cities and had moved back with their own young families. It is amazing how many Nassau bay kids grow up and move BACK! It was and still is a great place to live. It is a small town outside of a big city. It is its own incorporated city, not annexed to Houston like many of the nearby communities. So it has its own city governance, its own police, fire, etc. it has a hospital and is zoned to good schools.
All the neighbors are pretty great. There are local parks and community gyms all over the place. You're surrounded by activities likes restaurants, churches, schools and shopping centers.
