Napoleon Township Reviews
Rating 3.18 out of 5 11 reviews
I would describe the crime in my area as low in comparison to some of the cities around me. This would be due, in part, to the fact that this is a much smaller city than the others around here. However, the crime in this area seems to be about the same in many areas, but higher in the drug manufacturing, selling and root cause of many problems. I would hope that we could have more tasks force in place to banish this problem and put the abusers away, but police officers are being laid off in this area. I have great concerns that this area will become worse due to the lack money to fund more police officers.
Unfortunately, because the of lack of jobs in this area, people do not tend to stay and we have a lot of foreclosures. The area is very, very pet oriented. Most families have at least one pet, and most families spend money on their pets. We even have doggie daycare in this area. As far as community events, we have almost none. There are a couple of movie theatres, but that is about it. No big venues come here, no broadways, no zoos, etc.
The area in which I live is an okay place, however, there is really not much employment opportunities. I know that when I graduate with my Bachelor's degree, there will more than likely, be no opportunities in my field here. The employment rate is high and the only new jobs that seem to be opening are minimum wage jobs, such as working for a fast food restaurant and gas station attendants, to name a couple. Our major factories have moved out and I don't see how people can make a living with employment in this area. A good majority of folks travel to other cities for work. I, unfortunately, do not see a good future for this area. I have not seen any great changes through our State or local government in much improvement.
