Woodley Park Reviews
I wish that the foot traffic and car traffic was smoother. However, all in all good neighborhood highly accessible. I live near the Smithsonian Zoo so it's nice that it's right there and free!
has a small neighborhood feel but has all the conveniences with a cvs, chipotle, baskin robins, local restaurants and the red line!
It is a safe and clean neighborhood and short ride to downtown or walk to Dupont or Adams Morgan. It is easy to hang out outdoors and there are lots of families.
Woodley Park is a great neighborhood with access to Rock Creek Park, the metro, and lots of decent eateries. It lacks in diversity and the red line is not always functioning.
Woodley Park is a lovely neighborhood during all times of the year with the small exception of one or two spring weeks when it is flooded with out of town tourists on their spring breaks flocking to the National Zoo. All other times of year Woodley Park is a lovely district north west residential neighborhood, with some very good restaurants such as Open City and Bar Cevita on busy Connecticut Avenue which breaks up the pretty, sleepy townhouse streets with traffic and restaurants. Woodley Park has its own metro station which is also very nice, and lots of trees. The neighborhood public schools are all very good; Oyster-Adams Bilingual is and exceptional elementary and middle school, and Woodrow Wilson High School is very good as well.
