Like many of the suburbs around Seattle in the last 5 years there has been a huge influx of "temporary" workers from India (40% of tech workers are 1st generation immigrants in Seattle) who work in tech and the neighborhood has changed and sadly gotten worse.
They are just here to do a job (great to work with not so great as neighbors) and don't really make an effort to fit in with the community (they can't vote) or share their own culture. The wives are usually the result of an arranged marriage and because of their husbands H1b visa status often unable to work As a result they have 2 or 3 kids (more boys than girls)and the local schools are using portables. During covid one of the local HS's (mt Si) lost one of their valedictorians to a mental health crisis.
They also apparently have never had to maintain their own yards or do typical home maintenance (few people here have maids or gardeners) so despite the high price of homes the yards and home are often now un-kept.

Although some people don't like it, the rain isn't too much of an issue. There could be more sun
I live in a monitored neighborhood and always feel safe. There occasional bear spottings and break ins
