West San Jose is a great neighborhood. There are three great public schools in the area (Forest Hill [elementary], Rolling Hills [middle school], and Westmont [high school]). The community is very nice and because it is in Silicon Valley, it is home to a lot of people with tech careers. It is near beautiful downtown Campbell, as well as Saratoga and Los Gatos, which offer a great atmosphere with restaurants, shops, and lots of wine. For those who like it, there are many wineries close by as well (such as Savannah & Channelle).

There is a highway nearby, but not so close as to be disruptive. The neighborhood is quite safe and members of the community quickly notify the rest of the community of any possible criminal activity through Nextdoor Westmont. There are many families with kids, as well. The neighborhood has recently become quite sought after because of its many benefits and real estate prices have skyrocketed.

It’s a very suburban area, safe, and overall a wonderful place to live! The schools around here are great, but housing prices are pretty high.
I have grown up here all my life and it is interesting to see how much it has changed. I would love to see better housing prices around the area. For many, it is difficult to pay rent/mortgage with minimum wage. This is a great place to meet different people from different cultures. I would like to see more support for those that are going through economic hardships in schools and work.
