West Lawn Reviews
West Lawn is no longer what it use to be 15 years ago. A safe, family oriented, and dedicated middle class neighborhood has turned into battle grounds and hubs for gangs. As pilsen, Humboldt park, and other area habe gotten rid of their gang infestation, they have spilled over into the once safe west lawn neighborhoods. If your seriously looking to buy in this area, make sure it's for investment purposes and not to reside as this area is home to mostly renters and with home renting usually comes problems with people not taking care of the neighborhood. Sad this once beautiful Midway neighborhood has crumbled to mediocrity l
What I like about west lawn is the way the community comes together. The neighborhood is also safe and has a low crime rate compared to the rest of Chicago. This community is also filled with great transportation downtown and easy access to schools around the area. Its a neighborhood thats welcoming to the Hispanic community and others which makes it a great community. Theres also many affordable stores. Clean parks and schools which makes it a great place where families could move in.
Love the area. It’s full of families and a diverse community, great for first time home owners. The alderman is very involved anything we need repaired it taken care of quickly. Police presence is felt and they neighborhood gets patrolled regularly. Lots of business in the area and a new ones pop up regularly.
