It's the furthest west you can go in th Sam Fernando Valley. It has beautiful rolling hills and lovely homes amongst the hillsides. There are schools peppering the hillsides and a large outdoor shopping center that has just about everything you need. It's a small town but not far from the bigger cities in LA. Lots of celebrities come to our neighbor Hidden Hills to seek privacy from Hollywood, so there are always celebrity sightings around town. Great place to live, friendly people & schools are among the Academic Decathalon winners many years in a row. I have been here almost all my life, 42 years and counting. No plans to ever leave.
Love the peaceful, great schools, and quiet family orientation of West Hills, but the diversity is not that great. Strong Jewish community and sometimes they are mean and rude to "outsiders" plenty of "Trump Friendly" type of people which can be uncomfortable at times.
