West End Reviews
West End is like my family. I've become attached to the community because of how nice it is, how nice the people are there.
The local businesses where I live are owned by friendly people who always have a good sense of humor. Many people ,actually most people shop there everyday. I live near a whole set of stores and butcher shops also ice cream parlors. It gets very busy. People always find what they need. Compared to big companies , the stores are better and people enjoy shopping there.
in this area, there are only a few abandoned houses. when we first moved here, this was not the best neighborhood to live in. there were a lot of vacant houses which were destroyed by kids in the neighborhood. also, people would strip the houses of their copper piping. which lead to our house going down in value. i love my neighborhood, but i want to better myself and go to a trade school to become an automobile mechanic. i want to help my mom because she is the only one who helped me throughout my life. and in this neighborhood, i don't have a chance at a future with out some financial aid or scholarships.
