Waban Reviews

Super safe and family friendly suburb of Boston. Great commuting options with proximity to highway and green line T. 20 min drive into city if no traffic. Easy access to Newton Centre restaurants and multiple grocery stores. Mostly larger 4 bedroom+ single family residential homes owned by professionals (lawyers, doctors, finance, etc.) and retirees. Diversity and affordability are a bit lacking.
I like Waban because there are lots of educational studios/groups for children. I have a daughter, who is 5 years old, and I take to Waban to rhythmic gymnastics three times a week from Brookline because in Brookline we do not have such a studio, and studios that are available in Brookline are more expensive.
safe and family friendly; very expensive housing. Zoning rules make it very difficult to build multi-family housing
