It depends where you live. I wouldn't live in Hazel Dell if you don't want to be somewhere ghetto
I love being in a small city
Most people you come accross are very friendly. You get the occasional rude people, but there are a lot of nice down to earth people in the area. Most people are courteous to others and polite.
The roads are usually smooth driving. Public transportation is fairly good. Lots of sidewalks, crosswalks, and bicycle lanes. There is the occasional speeder and drinking a driving can be an issue at times, but for the most part it is good. It can get congested sometimes on i5 going into portland and sometimes on SR500 during rush hour times.
There is not much in the actual city of Vancouver to attract tourists, but there is a lot of lakes and rivers close by to visit. There is good fishing in this area and close by. Portland is a larger city and that is very close. In portland there is more to do like the Oregon Zoo, Omsi, and Oaks Park.
