Valley Glen Reviews

I personally have been living in this area for almost thirty years now. I grew up here with my family. I personally love this area. When I was younger this particular area was known as Van Nuys, but about fifteen years ago now the home owners were given the choice to rename this area Valley Glen. I believe that the home owners that requested the name change made a wise decision. Since the new name change I have seen many positive outcomes; like school rates increasing, homes and businesses maintaining their property better, parks are cleaner with newer equipment and many more positive outcomes. I hope that this particular area continues to make the positive changes that it has already accomplished and continues on that path.
Valley Glen offers amazing weather, plenty of fun activities for anyone in the family, and a diverse population. There is really good local food, great parks, and nice buildings. The main issue with this city is the homelessness crisis. It seems as if every street corner I turn, there are starving individuals with worn out clothes and a market cart filled with a few of their belongings. It isn't right and it needs to change. It also isn't the safest place to live in, and I feel pretty nervous when I take a walk at night or when I'm out alone. I've never had issues in school and I would rate my public school experiences high. I have found it a bit difficult to find a job as a teenager, and it is an extremely expensive place to live in.
The neighborhood in Valley Glen is peaceful and vibrant with trees and beautiful nature. The neighborhood is not only safe and family friendly, but also accommodating since it has great authentic and diverse food and shopping options. The parks here have been some of the top quality parks I've seen as well.
