I have lived in Valencia on/off for about 3-4 years and have had a mix of positive and negative experiences in general. Valencia has a wide variety of activities and outdoor activities including a number of restaurants and social activities one can enjoy without straying too far from home. There are a number of parks and recreational activities such as the Valencia Mall and Six Flags Magic Mountain. The city is built to attract a healthy lifestyle by creating walk/bike trails for its residents. Valencia is a beautiful city to look at and its visually built to look luxurious.
It's a nice area that is ideal for families. There isn't much to do within the area itself. The nearest city is 50 miles away, and there's always adventures to be found within the surrounding area. Just not much of a night life within the community itself.
We moved to the Valencia community in Pleasanton about 4 years ago from San Francisco. It's a very safe community and very family oriented. It's also very centrally located to BART, shops, malls, schools and hospital. Overall it's a great community.
