My area is a mixed bag. There are some pockets of great businesses and neighborhoods, and there is a strong support of local artists and theater. However, the school system is pretty awful, and poverty is high.

The job market is not that great. There are jobs out there but not too many people will hire someone right out of college. Most of the companies that have the jobs you want, would like 2-5 years of experience.
