I have lived here for a years and LOVE IT. Everything is walkable. Easy access to downtown. Very very safe! However, very expensive but the location is worth it!
We moved from the very boring suburbs not long ago. Sure, you pay almost 2x as much for a house in Denver as you do out there, but there is a ton to do within walking distance -- movies, shopping, library, art stores, a pottery place, farmer's market -- you name it. The neighborhood still has a lot of the original residents from the 1950s who are now in their 90s, as well as many young professionals (both single and coupled). Reminds me of the neighborhood in "Sandlot". Love the diversity of ages and backgrounds. Wish U hills North had a park like U Hills south has. :-( Other than that, really love it here.
Overall, the U-Hills neighborhood is a good place to live. It has easy access to a recreation center, and it is near the Highline Canal Trail. Also, it is easy to access US-285 and I-25 from the neighborhood.
