University City is a "quiet" town. It is small in relativity to all the other neighborhoods in San Diego, which is nice. You get to bump into people you haven't seen in forever at the store or just driving or walking around. Although the neighborhood is right next to the freeway and airbase, so we do get some noise from there, it is still fairly quiet. Everybody here is nice and friendly, making it a great environment to live in!
UC is a quiet little neighborhood that is right next to the exclusive La Jolla, California. UC is mostly filled with retired citizens. The crime is pretty much non existent. I have lived in UC for my entire life, and it has been awesome. The people are extremely kind, and the community always comes together whenever someone is in need. Everyone kind of knows each other, and all the schools are connected, meaning that siblings will most likely have teachers that other siblings had. There are stores and strip malls that provide good, clean groceries that any person would need. There is a Westfield mall in UC, making it even more attractive, so many people come to that and experience UC to the fullest.
University City is an extremely family-friendly community. It's very safe and is home to some of the top-rated public schools in the district. There is a mall, tons of great restaurants, and is only a short drive to the beach. I have lived here my entire life and have only had positive experiences within the community.
