I have been living in Troy Hill for four years and I have seen the neighborhood change for the better; not that it was bad before. Since moving here I have seen business move in, such as an architecture firm, and hip restaurants. I like all of the new murals and art in the neighborhood too. Troy Hill is definitely on the rise, hopefully my affordable rent doesn't go up! Overall great place.
During the day it's a pleasant area to be in. There are a few places to eat such as the Penn Brewery and there are several city steps to climb. However, there are issues with crime in the area. There are multiple drug dealers and recently two people were shot at night.
Troy hill is surprisingly quiet, with incredible views of downtown and a short scoot to more boppin' places like the strip and Lawrenceville. Not to mention, still affordable. Glad I made the choice to buy my house here.
