It is an up and coming neighborhood, it is not nearly as bad as it was when I grew up there. They are building new houses, there are new businesses popping up, and there is a visual arts center right down the street.
There's a lot of good environments around here, along with good people and foundation. However, there are certain places that are a bit corrupt.
Norfolk has a bad reputation when it comes to crime and safety. But from my experiences, and from what a fellow Norfolk policeman told me, it's a lot safer than people think.
