After being here for a few years, I'm really glad I made the decision to invest here. At first I was sorta apprehensive but I realized most of my concerns were illegitimate. My neighbors are friendly, I feel safe on my street, and the neighborhood is on the up and up. So many positive changes been happening the last five years. I expect my property value to double soon because so many great new developments are happening and on the way. My property value has been steadily increasing since day one.
My favorite thing is the location b/c I'm about 15 minutes or less (good traffic days) to all great things to do in Atlanta and about 10 minutes from the airport. Also I really enjoy the neighborhood has a pretty active neighborhood association, they do great things to help improve the quality of the neighborhood.

We have lived here for a couple of years now and I have been pleasantly surprised by the area. The location is super accessible to pretty much everything and there are a lot of new things shaking up in the area. Our neighbors are wonderful and there is a good sense of community... the SHNA is active and has done it's best during COVID times. Perkerson Park is awesome and offers a variety of activities and sports (wish it was a little better maintained by they city). Is there crime? Yes, small things like car break-ins (don't leave valuables in your car overnight and this won't happen) and the like but you are going to get these no matter where you live in the city. Overall, I really enjoy living and being a part of the SH neighborhood.
I have lived in Sylvan Hills for 4 years now. The Neighborhood is amazing and the people are great. It has a perfect location for access to the beltline, highway, MARTA, Tyler perry studios, the Airport, The MET, Lee + White (local restaurants and breweries) and much more. I would say development is also happening quickly in this area. The neighborhood association also stays pretty active.
