There are always fun things to do if you are looking to find them. We have college football and other sporting events; music festivals, and other community events to attract visitors but Boise is not really a tourist destination.

Public transportation is very limited. Local politics are extremely conservative. Many improvement opportunities are never implemented because they never get off of the ground (passed by city council)
There are plenty of outdoor activities and the general atmosphere is positive. I would choose to live here again.
