Living in the Strip District was so much fun; it's increasingly becoming a place with more longer-term residents and new reinvestment and seeing the growth and development has been wonderful. The neighborhood also retains a lot of its old, gritty, charm- especially with the markets along Penn and Smallman Streets.
Love the location of the strip district. You can bike to all pro sports teams in the city. The river trail is great. So many good restaurants and markets. The neighborhood is a cool part of Pittsburgh history. Can bike/walk to downtown. Easy access to highways to get out of the city.
Main downside is there is no large grocery store nearby. Must drive 12-15 minutes to get to a good one.

Love proximity to professional sports..I have walked to all three from my apartment.
Don't like the lack of a true grocery store.
