South Portland Reviews
Very average. There are some days that are peaceful and some days that are not, which is normal. Heading toward downtown, it gets very quiet, but down the south, on the other side of the river, it's nice. The road condition should be delt with.
There is a lot of diversity in s.e. Portland which makes it culturally interesting. Downtown Portland is accessible by car, max or bus. There is an unfortunate amount of crime and living expenses are very high. Most jobs do not pay a living wage and we have a lot of taxes that make up for our lack of sales tax. There are also a lot of homeless people which is sad.
It's very diverse in South East Portland. Great schools in most areas, friendly to the mental health community.
