South Oak Park Reviews

Oak Park isn't what it used to be. It's quiet around me. My kids play outside and at Temple Park. Like any neighborhood, I don't walk out at night (as a female I don't need to put my self in any predicaments). My neighbors are of all nationalities which I love the diversity. They are all respectful, kind and down to earth people. A local church comes and does events at the park which I love and my kids have fun! Overall, it's fine living here.

They try to gentrify Oak Park and kick out the old residents so hipsters can move in. Still got bloods in this hood. The whole city was bad decades ago its not real bad now but still gang homicides. Hope for the best for non oak park blood people there cause they really raise the rent to kick the low income to another city or to homelessness.
The neighborhood overall is great, although it quite is a bit noisy, counting all the noises cars made across the street, and the amount of smoke you can breathe in everyday. Since, it's close to the Firefighter department, you'd get to hear the sirens fire-off almost everyday. There is a park nearby so you and your family can have a wonderful time there.
