South Chicago Reviews
The southside of Chicago is where I was born and raised and still live to this day. Although it isnt the best environment, I made the best of it. To receive better education I would travel outside of my neighborhood to attend a catholic school. To go play in a safer and cleaner park I would travel to another part of the city. To make Chicago better I would improve the school systems and upgrade the parks. The community in which I reside is underserved. There arent any healthcare resources or any fresh produce grocery stores. Those are things I would change to make my community better. ew
I love the restaurants and shopping stores on the Southside of Chicago. The Southside of Chicago have the best jerk chicken, tacos and barbecue spots. In addition, on the Southside of Chicago one can Ford City mall and several Target and Walmart stores. Theses shopping centers are very affordable and easy to get to.
South Chicago is diamond in the rough in terms of location. It's a SouthEast side neighborhood that's steps from Lake Michigan and a number of its beaches. Transportation options are abundant with Metra train and CTA bus systems that take you into downtown Chicago pretty quickly. For drivers, it's also conveniently located near the popular Lake Shore Drive; equivalent to PCH highway in L.A. Sadly, the area has been known for its criminal element and is undergoing gentrification as we speak. A change for the better in terms of community outreach and activism has begun....hopefully it's not too late.
