I was born and raised in South Boston and always felt grateful for the close-knit community. I raised my children here, and over those years it changed dramatically, with many new people moving in and the waterfront undergoing development. Now my children are grown, and the neighborhood has changed even more but retains the feeling of connection among many old-timers and newcomers alike. Also, Boston overall is a thriving and opportunity-filled city.

I moved to South Boston six months ago with my boyfriend, and I love it. Southie has a small town feel to it, but you can also walk or take the train to get anywhere else in the city. I go to Castle Island a lot to go swimming or eat or relax with the view. I'm so glad we moved here!
I like the neighborhood feel, proximity to work, and the restaurant and local business offerings nearby.
