San Jose Forest Reviews
This is my favorite area of Jax. I've lived at the beach, on the Northside, and in Southeen Orange Park, but San Jose Forest keeps me close to downtown, in a nice suburban atmosphere. Plenty of delicious mom & pop restaurants, great small locally owned markets, convenience shops and schools, private & public, are scattered about. I have wonderful neighbors & a YMCA in walking distance. Life is perfect here!
The downside of Jacksonville is that the city is so large and it's difficult to find convenience, wherever you decide to settle, you will always have to leave the area to get to all the places you'd like to go. However, this does provide a large variety of lifestyles. There is lots of traffic and it takes a slow crawl to get across town at most times.
There is a lot of crime in Jacksonville, the city is attempting to protect everyone, but it is difficult. The city is so large and so old, that these happenings are inevitable. However, I constantly see police patrolling around the city.
