I have lived in Rose Park for all of my life, (18 years). This neighborhood is full of different experiences. The biggest con about Rose Park are the crimes that happen. Fortunately, the crimes in this neighborhood aren't big, but it is very sad that robberies and small shootings to happen often. However, the best think about Rose Park is the community that we have built together. There are always neighborhood block parties and fun community events that we hold, and it really shows how unified everyone is when we all come together!

The Rose Park community has a very bad reputation but in reality it isn't as bad of a community s you may hear. Rose Park does not have a luxurious view but is really just like any other neighborhood. Rose Park can be a dangerous space but you really just have to choose who to be with and at what times. I have been living here for all of 16 years of my life and in reality nothing bad has ever happened. Our representaitve is my neighbor which really allows me to feel more protcected as i know someone is looking out for us as a community and neighborhood. I think Rose Park shouldn't continue to have such terrible rumors because it is actually a neighborhood just like any other. Our neighbors communicate with eachotehr and have each others backs, we have local stores in which grocery shopping is done and several churches which join our community. Rose Park may not be the safest or luxurious place in the world but it sure is not the worst that there is.
I have lived all over Salt Lake City (Sugar House, Downtown, South Salt Lake, West Valley, and Rose Park) and here is what makes Rose Park awesome: (1) It is very quiet, (2) Housing is affordable, (3) Great diversity, (4) Proximity to downtown, (5) Great Mexican food, and (6) Proximity to the airport. Not a perfect area as there is some minor property crime (just lock your cars people), but the area is trending in the right direction and the value for how close it is to downtown is almost too good to be true!
