It is a really neat, clean, and quiet place. People are friendly enough to have blocks and blocks giving out candy and dresses up in costumes on Halloween. It is also diverse since more people are moving toward northeast. Public schools are decent, you have a decent middle school and a large and diverse Northeast High School next to it.
I grew up in the Rhawnhurst area of Northeast Philadelphia and live here with my family and friends. I have always felt safe in my community and those around me. Everything is in the area and I do not have to travel far for anything. My church, job, and school are all within a 5 minute drive from my house. I cannot imagine living anywhere else.
Rhawnhurst is a small neighborhood located in the northeast region of Philadelphia. It is one of the safest communities in the city allowing people to become more friendly and outgoing. People in this neighborhood watch over eachother and make sure that crime stays at at minimum at all times. This allowed my friends and I to play around comfortably and care free on those hot summer days. The only advice I would give is that the newer generation of people moving in should keep the same values and love for the community that we had and still have.
