I have been living near Reseda for over 30 years and now I live there. It has always been kind of dumpy and probably always will. The LAPD likes to play with their helicopter pad in Reseda a lot. Reseda is on the approach path of both the VanNuys airport and Burbank airport. Barking dogs everywhere. Lots of garbage dumped everywhere and people don't keep their yards up or bring their trash cans in. Hard to believe the cheapest tiny house is 500K in this neighborhood. Nightlife is hideous. Other than that, it's great.
Police are amazing and very helpful to the community. They are very busy with fighting gang related crime/violence, thus they don’t bother residents with small tickets/problems. More bad: gang violence known in Reseda, very very very noisy, huge parking enforcement issue, lots of house parties, city is not very clean-allys are problematic- lots of rodents and stray-feral animals. A lot of police and helicopter activity. Other we love our neighbors and love our neighborhood watch group.
Reseda is nowadays the better living place, where the community services are furnished. I luckily live nearby the Northridge hospital, where I will give the first birth. Staffs working at the Northridge clinic are approachable and helpful, especially my nurse, who contacts with me via her phone number and provides essential advice about the labor preparation for me. However, I felt there was some boundary in the background and culture when I interacted with one of their staff, who reacted uncontrollably to me. I hope that their customer service will be improved as the staff knows how to be calm and patient with customers. Lastly, there is an alarming rate in increasing local fast food restaurant in Reseda; this leads to the obesity rate for the consumers due to the restaurant availability.
