I have lived in Reseda since I started middle school; I am now a senior. I had previously lived in Van Nuys but my parents decided it was time for a change. We moved to Reseda and it was great. I finally was able to have my own room although the rent was and continues to be very high. I love Reseda from how close everything is to each other to the diversity of people you see all around. I do wish the safety and environment would improve. Due to the high gas prices my parents' car was unfortunately vandalized and our gas was stolen. There weren't any cameras but it is unfortunate that events like this happen. But the growth of Reseda has been immense and the residents including myself notice the changes. From the cleaning of our streets to bringing a more welcoming tone to the neighborhood. I only hope that it goes up from where Reseda stands now! It is my home and I only want the best for what it will become in the future!
Personally, I really love where I live my place is pretty affordable and I have nice and welcoming neighbors. When I first moved here about four years ago I was told that it was a pretty rough neighborhood but thankfully I haven’t personally had any real problems here. However, just about 3 1/2 to four blocks up the street from my home. Someone unfortunately carved a swastika in the sidewalk pavement. Seeing that horrible imagery was really disturbing and unforgettable. I’m not sure who I can contact in order to have it removed but I would really love if someone could get rid of it as soon as possible. Besides that I really love all of the eateries by my home and how convenient public transportation is in this area. There’s about three grocery stores within a 15 minute walk from my house which is amazing! I love how clean my neighbors keep their yards and sidewalks. This is a great neighborhood to walk, run, or jog. Overall I really enjoy living in Reseda. :)
I’ve lived in reseda my whole life so to me, I love it because it’s home. Things have changed over the years just as any city would over time. There has been more crimes going on, more accidents and so many street racing. As much as I love my reseda, I also don’t feel completely safe. It’s a small city that use to be known as farm and I loved to see horses being walked down the street. Unfortunately that’s not the case anymore. I would not complain at all if I had to stay in Reseda but it is not my choice to stay if I decided to move. My reason to stay in Reseda, is my parents.
