The pocket area has been my home for over a decade. Pocket is a nice neighborhood, with a great environment. The community controls much of what happens here, and this area is very family friendly. The schools around here are great, there is Didion K-8 and JFK High School, both among the best in SCUSD. Safety is never a concern for us in Pocket, and neighbors are friendly. Overall, this is a great place for anyone to live, although prices for housing and house availability is not the greatest.
I love the fact that we have some good parks to go too. We have some good neighbors and the fire station is 3 blocks away. I would like to see change to my neighborhood with more social events, more parties and some more areas with benches.
The Pocket area is a quiet and well-maintained suburban neighborhood. The community feels bery tight-knit and welcoming. I've felt relatively safe for the nearly 10 years I've been here.
