Playa Vista Reviews
Playa Vista is an ideal neighborhood for students to share a 2 or 3 room apartment with friends. One of the biggest pros would be gym and pool access being offered in all Playa apartment buildings. The convenience doesn't even end there. The "Runway Playa Vista" is a center filled with restaurants, a Whole Foods, a movie theater, and a weekend out-door market. Another plus of Playa is that it's relatively quiet compared to Santa Monica and Downtown LA, but at the same time is close by to everything. PV is approximately 10 minutes away from the airport, 10 minutes from the beach, 15 minutes from Santa Monica, and 30 minutes from Downtown. In addition to that, Playa Vista is home to a large amount of tech and entertainment companies like Youtube, Fox, and Google. For a student, it's a good area to build relationships and seek mentorship.
There is dog crap all over Playa Vista. All over. Like multiple smudges on every block. It’s smudged on the sidewalks and owners don’t pick up after their pets, so the grass has dog poop everywhere as well. It smells like strong urine. It’s a huge issue.
Playa Vista is a beautiful neighborhood of West LA. It is close to the beach and there are good restaurants and plenty of things to do. Unfortunately, it is extremely expensive to live here and the traffic is absolutely horrendous. It is a great place for families.
