Great little neighborhood with custom homes and easy commute, tucked into hills just south of downtown.

In my neighborhood there are mostly multi unit buildings where privacy is limited. The neighborhood most people avoid is the Canal because of a higher rate of crime and fewer amenities. When a rental is listed at an affordable price it is taken sometimes within a few hours.
There are job opportunities for almost all residents but a commute into the city is typically required. Many of the residents who commute are in upper level positions and those who work locally often have low wage jobs.
