Penrose Reviews
Rating 4.25 out of 5 4 reviews
Penrose is a wonderful, family-friendly, neighborhood with a number of restaurants and shops along Columbia Pike, and parks throughout the neighborhood. The neighborhood's location makes it easy to get in to D.C., on to Metro, the Pentagon, Pentagon City/Crystal City to the south and Clarendon/Courthouse/Rosslyn to the north. Most homes and condos are on the smaller size throughout the neighborhood, but this helps to contribute to the overall friendliness of the community because more children and adults go outside of their homes and backyards in to public parks and spaces for recreation.
There aren't that many "shops" unless you go closer to Pentagon City Mall, however, there are plenty of grocery stores/CVS types as well as locally owned restaurants. Additionally, there are a handful of apartment complexes that provide access to the local area.
The general atmosphere of Arlington is great no matter where you live. People are generally minding their own business but when you speak to them they're very nice. There are so many things to do and places to go. There are over 500 different restaurants in Arlington. And if there is ever a time where you get bored then you can go to Roslyn, D.c, Old Town in Alexandria which are all so close to they city.
