Outer Sunset Reviews
Overall, it's a great place to live. The outer sunset is quiet, relatively safe and it is very easy to find parking when compared to the rest of San Francisco. The only downside would be the lack of entertainment. There are many good restaurants but everything closes early and there is no nightlife. Most of the people who live here are families. However, those things are the trade offs of having a safe neighborhood.
The outer sunset is a residential neighborhood perfect for families, students, and visitors. The outer sunset is quiet and safe enough for parents to raise their children. It is decked with delicious restaurants along Judah and Taraval for residents and visitors alike. With Ocean Beach lined up against the west end of the Sunset and internationally known Golden Gate Park on the northern end, the Outer Sunset provides just enough quiet and adventure for visitors and residents.
I've lived in the outer sunset for almost 10 years now and it's an amazing community. I always feel safe around the neighborhood and you also get to know the people around you. It's a very residential spot but theres a lot of local spots that make the sunset community so unique.
