We absolutely love living in Oakley. The people are amazingly friendly and everyone is willing to help each other out. There is a good mix of people who have lived in their homes for 20+ years and young professionals and families that are new to the neighborhood. Some great restaurants and bars, as well as some nice boutique style shops, all of which are walkable from most parts of Oakley. The only down side are the schools. After elementary school you must test into Walnut Hills or pay for private school. Overall we love it here and would stay if we didn't mind paying for private school.
Oakley is a great part of Cincinnati for younger professionals and young families. Madtree opened it's new brewery, and there are some great smaller bars/restaurant. The new Kroger has anything you could possibly want to buy but there is also a Fresh Market, Fresh Thyme and Meijer if Kroger doesn't have what you need. The sidewalks are great for running and the people are friendly.
I really enjoy living here. It is a good mix of diversities. There are a lot of young people and young families that live here. The area is constantly evolving and growing. There are a lot of great shops, restaurants, and bars in the area. The rent is reasonable compared to other areas within Cincinnati. I wouldn't want to move to a different area.
Oakley is an up and coming neighborhood on the east side of Cincinnati. It's near desirable areas like Hyde Park and Indian Hill, but is slightly cheaper. Oakley has amazing one of a kind shops and restaurants and is close to a major highway.
I enjoy living in Oakley because it is filled with young professionals like myself. The area is growing with attractions and restaurants.
