There is not a lot of crime in Riverside. One time I walked from my local college all the way home in the middle of the night and remained unharmed and safe. The only thing that could be a little scary at times are the homeless, because they are sometimes difficult to see at night and they might startle you with their sudden presence.

This place is great for people who are ready to settle down. As for the average college student, its really quiet and there is not much to do but go to school and go to the Downtown area. There are multiple convenience stores and places to dine but not really much to do. For example, there are very few clubs, malls, bowling alleys etc. and the shops are a little old and very much need to be updated.
Another I do feel safe in my area and see a good number of police on the streets, I am still aware that we are not completely safe and there is a high number of 'homeless' that wander.
