I have lived in Northridge all my life, I love this city because it is filled with life. Meaning there is always a sort of homey feeling when being here. Folks are nice complete strangers will offer a helping hand when they see you are in need of one. It just is a wonderful city overall. The parks are beautiful and well kept. Not to mention the restaurants found here, absolute astonishing!
Northridge is a suburb within the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. It is the home of California State University, Northridge, and the hometown of quite a few celebrities. It has a lot of diversity in its population and is an anomaly of sorts - it still has the busy-ness of LA (thanks to streets such as Reseda, Tampa, and Nordhoff), but within the residential areas, is very quaint and laidback as one would expect of suburbs. It is a safe and great place to raise a family. There's not much nightlife as there is in other parts in LA, but it does have a few bars and more active bars and clubs are just a drive (or rideshare) away. All in all, Northridge is a cool place!
I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and Northridge is definitely a great location! There's alot to do and essentially, the neighborhood is a good central location in terms of proximity to other parts of town. Overall, great area and safe!
