Overall, VERY safe area if you are looking into moving anywhere within LA. Businesses are very close by and traveling is easier/safer than in DTLA. Rated 4 stars only because I have had very weird/frustrating experiences at the local college that I go to but other than that, I love this area! Grew up in a small town in the south and previously lived in beautiful, sunny San Diego so yes, I am very picky when it comes to cities that I willingly visit/live in.

Ive been living in North Hollywood since i was 5. So when it comes to talking about this city i should know a thing or two. Living in certain areas can be dangerous. For example Hart st is known to have many gang members living there. Rent is ridiculously high & the schools in the area suck! When i attended my HS there was at least 2 fights a day. teachers cared very little for students safety, especially when it came to bullying. When it comes to living here just know everyone knows everybody's business.
