Small, quiet community with diverse ethnicities. Stores or businesses are within a short distance. Traffic is low.
lots of theft nearby. plenty of BAEs, GTAs, and car robberies. be careful on these streets at night time.
There are many homeless people living on the streets and side walks. The streets always reek of piss and are always sticky. There are many crimes that often happen during the night and lots of gangs vandalizing walls.
West of 405 is nice middle class neighborhoods with good schools. It borders Granada Hills and Northridge. Seems somewhat safe at night to walk around. East of 405 can be sketchy as lots of apartments and lower income and section 8 housing. Alot of homeless as well. Wish the city would clean it up for the people that live there. Streets are dirty and lots of trash laying about. I have lived in North Hills for over 20 years. It has been good to me so far.
Lived here all of my undergrad and graduate career. Nice neighborhoods with parks and plenty of food options close to CSUN.
The neighborhood I live in is nice but sometimes parking can be a problem. There are many things nearby like grocery stores, restaurants, and clothing stores. It's a nice place to live in and I've enjoyed living here.
North Hills is very small but among it there is a lot to it like schools and stores. The population is actually pretty big, you can tell by looking at the streets there is always cars around no matter what time of the day it is.
I moved to North Hills to be closer to my school. Honestly North Hills is a city with a lot of potential.
North Hills’ population is made up of Hispanic people, mainly Mexicans. It is a decent neighborhood. It’s not that safe for children to be out playing on sidewalks due to gang affiliated people or creepy men. There has been at least 1 assault per year in the past 2 decades of living in this city.
North hills is a very dangerous area and I do not feel comfortable living here. There is a lot of gang and police activity that goes on in the area. The apartments nor the neighborhood are kept up to par and overall is a very poor living environment.
There’s still a lot of homeless and I can’t blame them for only living on the street; however it makes my community look very unhealthy because of all the filth they collect.
North Hills-West is a nice family friendly area to live in. It’s conveniently located near freeways, grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants and fast food restaurants.
Its a quite place in here there is no much chaos my neighborhoods are always active they are nice i love living here i wish i could stay here longer until i finished my college and find my job and started my family. The public sweepers are doin very good in their jobs they don't leave any dirt, for safety, i feel very safe especially when I walk every-night going in the church. There are lot of resources in here and its pretty much provide everything i need for a living
Very calm city, needs some cleaning and road fixing as well as small streets and rent is insanely high.
It's a very weird area. North Hills is basically divided into two parts because of the freeway that goes into it. It is seen that the west part of North Hills is where there's less crime activity in a nicer area and the east part has more crime and not the best area. The thing I don't like here is that sometimes I feel unsafe walking down the street to and from school because men catcall every female they see.
Not a lot to do but a very good mostly quiet community and city. Mostly family oriented. You have to travel to go to work but not so far which is good. School for all academic years are close by as well as a university which is just a few minutes away.
Some changes I would like to see is the neighborhood being cleaned. There is always a mess on the sidewalks.
