North Hills is divided by the 101 freeway. The West side has low crime, great schools, and is very walkable (people exercise alone at night regularly). The East side is scary at night, and not great during the day. There are plenty of nearby activities for all ages. CSUN is close by. We are less than 45 minutes from the beach, the desert, the mountains, Hollywood, and Downtown LA, what more could you ask for?
Its a quite place in here there is no much chaos my neighborhoods are always active they are nice i love living here i wish i could stay here longer until i finished my college and find my job and started my family. The public sweepers are doin very good in their jobs they don't leave any dirt, for safety, i feel very safe especially when I walk every-night going in the church. There are lot of resources in here and its pretty much provide everything i need for a living
North Hills’ population is made up of Hispanic people, mainly Mexicans. It is a decent neighborhood. It’s not that safe for children to be out playing on sidewalks due to gang affiliated people or creepy men. There has been at least 1 assault per year in the past 2 decades of living in this city.
