North Hampton is not full of bars and coffee shops, and hardly anyone rents here. It’s very hard to find a house to rent in North Hampton.
I feel like this is the safest area inside the city of St. Louis.
The neighborhood is clean, the neighbors know each other, lots of social events happen here such as the Joan of Arc homecoming parade and carnival.
North Hampton is a place where you could walk down the street at night and not fear for your life. People leave your property alone. Kids play in their front yards!
I came to the neighborhood form out of state. After looking for a very long time at surrounding areas, I’m so thankful we picked North Hampton.

We have heard of break ins and shootings in surrounding neighborhoods, but this particular neighborhood is fairly safe.
In the local area, there are many restaurants, bars, and businesses to choose from. There is also close public transportation access that is very reliable. The local area has a lot of diverse ethnic varieties to choose from. If more bar/night-life options are desired, it is only about a four to five mile drive to the Central West End, Soulard, Downtown, and other areas.
