For the past few years of living in Newton, Massachusetts, I haven't found issues with too much crime. With that said, I haven't found issues with crime at all.
Living here allows me to be near to banks, supermarkets, school, and restaurants. It is an excellent area to study and to have children, which I plan to have in about 15 years.
I have never had any problems with criminality. My neighbors also do not worry about it.
