I've grown up here in Newtonville, and it was such an amazing experience! Everyone is very friendly, there are plenty of places within walking distance, and the schools are amazing. Such wonderful place to live.
Everyone is very nice in my neighborhood. We all know each other and can trust one another with not only our children, but with knowing that we have people we can count on when we need them. For being a big community, everyone knows each other and are very quick to get to know someone new.
We moved to Newtonville in 2000. Newtonville has quiet streets that are walking distance to the small town area that has Star Market, Starbucks, Great Harvest Bread, 5 restaurants, ice cream, dry cleaners CVS and small businesses. Also Newtonville has a commuter rail stop. It has easy access to the Pike, Logan Airport and Boston. People are very friendly and there are lots of families and dogs. Newtonville is a very active community - lots of folks run/walk/jog on the carriage lane and we are at mile 19 of the Boston marathon. We've loved our 17 years here raising our daughter.
