It is a good place for families to live. Although this part of town does not have active culture scenes, you're only 10 minutes away from downtown and midtown and also, 5 minutes away from SAC airport. Conveniently located. Housing price is about average but the school district is not great.

Although Sacramento has a less than glamorous reputation in comparison to SF or the Bay Area, after living here for over 13 years I can confidently say that there is a certain beauty to Sac. Be that in it's rich history found in downtown with the railroad museum or Old Sac which has been excellently preserved for public viewing. Sacramento is neither progressing or regressing, more of just staying the same which is not a bad thing, but isn't a good thing either. It has the potential to be better in terms of atmosphere and safety (cleanliness of public areas).
There are a lot of small restaurants such as Waffle Experience, as well as a lot of chain fast food restaurants. Most of the sit-down dining is locally owned though. There is a plethora of dentist offices, actually so many it's a joke among my family. There are four major shopping centers, which have stores like Target and Marshall's. Those shopping centers cover all possible choices for clothing and home goods.
