I have lived in Mt. Washington for nearly 18 years. It's a diverse neighborhood with a family feeling. I love the walkability and the friendliness of the neighbors. It's an easy drive into the city and convenient to many shopping and entertainment options. An affordable alternative for families. We love it here!

Great and convenient location. All amenities are walkable (grocery, bank, USPS, library, locally owned restaurants and bars and more).

Only 10 minutes from downtown, yet has safe suburban style housing. A welcoming community who always finds ways to improve and gets others involved!
Mt. Washington is certainly an interesting place. There is an extremely high presence of drugs, leading to constant ODs throughout the public portion of the neighborhood. There was a group from the Mexican Cartel working out of a location close to the private high school (on the outskirts of the neighborhood), but they recently moved closer to the heart of Mt Washington. Prostitution is also a major issue as well as human trafficking and abuse. One of the biggest issue with the neighborhood is the presence of Stanbery Park. The park hugs a wooded hillside that runs up against the houses off one of the back streets. Because of the location and set-up of the park, people conduct drug deals and those pursued by the law hide in the woods and often run into the back streets.
