Montavilla is a wonderful, diverse neighborhood, centrally located and incredibly walkable. The neighborhood has a beautiful little "downtown" located on Stark Street, with some incredible restaurants, bars, and a weekly seasonal farmer's market. Walkable to Mt. Tabor park and located on several main bus lines, this neighborhood is the best of city and suburb living, with plenty of Portland charm!
Great food! Easily walkable and access to transit. I wish they would improve the roads and pedestrian safety, however; a lot of areas are missing sidewalks and roads have a lot of potholes.
Montavilla has a great friendly neighborhood vibe. Everything you need is within walking distance, and just a short bike ride will take you to downtown Portland and some other popular parts of town. Local shops offer lots of great options, and there is a strong community/neighborhood feel.
