Montavilla has a great friendly neighborhood vibe. Everything you need is within walking distance, and just a short bike ride will take you to downtown Portland and some other popular parts of town. Local shops offer lots of great options, and there is a strong community/neighborhood feel.
I like Montavilla because it's quiet and cute. It's close to shops on SE Stark, which is nice. Also public transportation is plentiful in Montavilla. I only wish there were more grocery stores in the area.
I love this neighbourhood. The homelessness problem is a little out of hand, but it's the same as the rest of Portland. Good for kids.
