I go to college here so I may have a skewed perspective, but I love Richmond! It is the perfect city, not huge but still offers a lot of cool things.
There are crimes that happen but being on campus and knowing that the campus police and the local police force are always quick and responsive to situations is comforting. Also knowing that there are campus alerts that go right to your phone is another way to stay safe.
It is great to live here because it's a diverse environment that you are exposed to. Being in the city has been nice because everything is close by and in walking distance.
