Mission Hill is great if you're a recent college grad, medical resident, or otherwise twenty-something just starting out in Boston. Apartments here are affordable and aren't anything fancy, but provide all of the basics. I've never had a problem with anyone in the neighborhood and overall everyone has been quite friendly and good-natured. For transportation, it's worth investigating whether or not an apartment has parking available (some don't). But a car likely isn't needed. The MBTA E line as well as the 66 and 39 buses run right through the neighborhood, which can get you most places you need to go be it downtown, Jamaica Plain, Roxbury/Dorchester, or Brookline/Newton. Mission Hill also has a great number of little restaurants with a great variety of cuisines to try. Overall I'm very happy we decided to live here!
Safe neighborhood with many college students and is very peaceful. Wentworth, Simons, MassArt, NEU, MCPHS college is all down the street. We have the 3 exam schools also down the street.
Moved to the neighborhood several months ago and have been enjoying it so far! I enjoy being near several green spaces and also appreciate how close several T-stops are.
